ISPI-TN hosts a free online program: JULY 16; 11:00 AM - Noon CT

Conference ID: 565-951-064 #

Tools to create learning and development products your learners will love!

Presented by Matthew Daniel, a high-energy, no-holds-barred, tell-it-like-it-is learning technologist and learner-experience advocate working in and with some of the largest and most innovative companies across the country (including six years in one of the nations top ten banks – Capital One). While he’s implemented LMSs, LCMSs, Social Learning Platforms, and Curation Tools– his biggest success comes not in the implementation of the system, but in helping learning professionals figure out how to take their existing skills and experience and adapt to the digital age in a realistic way.

Session Information:
In LinkedIn Learning's 2018 Industry Report, they found that 2 out of 3 people in talent development wouldn't recommend the programs and tools they create to their customers. Let's explore the tools you can use to create learning and development products you and your learners will love.

With record low unemployment, challenges over filling critical roles, and employee expectations over consumer-grade experiences in the workplace the quality of the “employee experience” has become a focus of many companies, with Forbes even declaring 2018 the year of “Employee Experience.” With that shift in the environment, L&D has an opportunity to transform from a mandatory activity to a key differentiator in hiring and retaining the best talent through delivering on great learner experience (LX). Join us for a discussion on what happens when user experience (UX) and learning & development start to work together.

Here’s what we’ll cover:
• What are the three facets to treating learning like a product?
• If I treat learning like a product, how does that translate to changes in measurement to my performance solutions?
• How can I include the voice of the learner into my existing processes?
• What are the tools and methodologies to support learner experience?
• How do I adjust my skill set as a talent and performance professional to address learner experience?

About Matthew Daniel…
Matthew believes in building incredible learning experiences, not just events – that all begins with good instructional design, but it has to be wrapped in incredible user experience. Prior to implementing learning systems, Matthew was an instructional designer who built large-scale new hire and upskill programs for organizations like Microsoft, Cigna, Homeland Security, the DoD, Honeywell, Valero, BristolMeyer Squibb, and ExxonMobil.

Today, Matthew works with learning software companies on product design, consults on learning transformation, and inspires learning professionals to adopt new technologies and create amazing experiences to transform the lives of our learners. Learn more by visiting
